THE HOME OF Glenn Ford

The Home:

This sprawling and beautiful Beverly Hills estate is barely captured in the photograph. The estate is situated on a 288,000 square foot lot, behind gates and on a very tranquil street in the heart of Beverly Hills. The eight room estate has3 bedrooms, 3 baths, pool, and is enormous with almost 9000sq ft of interior living space. Like Glenn's screen presence, the home is Big, impressive and at the same time has a quiet, classic and subdued ambiance.

The Biography:

Glenn Ford was born May 1, 1916 in Sainte-Christine, Portneuf county, Quebec, Canada. His family moved to Santa Monica, California when he was eight years old. He began acting in high school and in 1939 landed a screen test for Columbia Pictures. Although he was put under contract by Columbia Pictures, his film debut was in the 20th Century Fox film, 'Heaven with a Barbed Wire Fence.' Glenn has played a variety of different types of characters and in my mind is at his best when portraying the common everyday hero. He has appeared in over 106 films and in 1958 was voted the number one box office attraction. In 1962 he won the Golden Globe, Best Actor Award for his role in 'Pocket Full of Miracles' which also starred Bette Davis.
